Radiant heating is one of the oldest concepts in heating. The Romans first used radiant floor heating in 60 A.D. to warm enclosed spaces. Radiant heating controls the rate at which a body loses heat by turning large surface areas (floors, walls, ceilings) into large, low-temperature radiators. These surfaces create a warm comfortable heat without air blowing on you.

Radiant heating systems use heated water through piping systems to keep you comfortable. Some radiant systems use plastic tubing in your floors to create cozy surfaces while others use radiators to heat individual rooms in your home. Using a "boiler," the water is heated and sent through piping to various places in your home. Often times your boiler can heat your water and your home.
